Multihead weighing hopper workflow is divided into three steps. When feeding, the material passes through the main vibration disc and line vibration disc, and is vibrated into the storage hopper when it is empty. Weighing stage, after the weighing hopper is empty, the stock hopper discharges material into it and starts weighing. In the combination and discharging stage, the CPU of the main board processes the weight data of each weighing hopper, selects the combination close to the target weight, and when it receives the permission from the Packaging machine for feeding, it opens the selected weighing hopper and lets the material enter the collecting hopper or packaging machine through the chute.

Improve material flow characteristics

For some poorly flowing materials, such as wet powder (like some wet cement powder) or sticky particles (such as candy particles with sugar), the dimple structure can break the adhesion between the materials. Pits enable the material to form a number of small accumulation areas on its surface, reducing large areas of contact and adhesion between materials, so that it is easier to start the flow of materials.

Take flour as an example, in the ordinary smooth hopper, because the flour particles are very fine, it is easy to form the arch phenomenon (the material forms an arch at the outlet of the hopper and cannot flow out naturally). The pit of the dimple hopper can disrupt the accumulation of flour particles, so that flour can flow more smoothly from the hopper.

When there are particles of different sizes or objects with irregular shapes in the material, it is easy to get stuck at the outlet of the hopper, causing blockage. The internal structure of the dimple hopper guides the material, allowing it to roll and slide between pits.

For example, when conveying mixed materials containing plastic particles of different shapes, larger particles may get stuck in the outlet of the ordinary hopper, and the pits of the dimpled hopper can provide more movement paths for these particles, so that they can smoothly pass through the outlet and avoid blockage.

 

Uniform Blanking  

The dimpled design helps to distribute the material evenly throughout the hopper section. In the hopper unloading process, the material will gradually slide down from the various pits, rather than concentrated in the center or one side of the hopper.

For example, in the food packaging industry, when materials such as grain need to be precisely divided into small bags, this uniform blanking feature can ensure that the weight of the material in each bag is more accurate, because the material can flow out of the hopper at a relatively stable and uniform speed.

Cleaning and maintenance

Easy To Clean

Because the internal structure of the dimple hopper is not a completely smooth plane, it is less likely to retain material than a smooth hopper. When cleaning is performed, the presence of pits allows cleaner and water to better reach all corners of the hopper.

Take the hopper transporting sauce as an example, sauce is easy to adhere to the wall of the hopper. The pit of the dimpled hopper can prevent the sauce from forming a large area of solid adhesion layer on the wall of the hopper, and the washing liquid can better wash the sauce residue through the pit during cleaning.

 

Reduce Maintenance Costs

Because of its good material flow and easy cleaning characteristics, dimpled hopper is less prone to failure due to material blockage or residue. This reduces maintenance costs associated with clearing blockages, repairing damaged parts, and so on.

For example, in chemical production, if the hopper is frequently blocked, it may be necessary to stop production for maintenance, and the dimpled hopper can effectively reduce the frequency of this situation, thereby reducing the economic loss caused by stopping production for maintenance.
