Multihead weigher are devices that allow for fast and accurate quantitative weighing and packaging of a wide variety of food and non-food products, choosing combination scales as their engineering terminology, which can also be referred to as combination scales, combination packaging scales, quantitative combination scales and electronic multihead weigher.

Multihead scales work on the principle of efficient weighing processes by means of several independent weighing units (i.e. “multiheads”).

Each weighing unit has its own infeed and outfeed structure and is equipped with pressure sensors to ensure weighing accuracy.

When the system receives a packing instruction, it will automatically select the appropriate combination of weighing units according to the preset target weight, and put the material into the packing container in a way that is closest to, but not exceeding, the target weight.
